Fronds 20cm - 60cm long

Habitat:

Found only in lowland forests in the Northern part of North Island, it grows in clearings in tall manuka scrub forest or in open forest.

Description:

A fairly uncommon fern that has fronds that are distinctively triangular and are light green to yellowish green in colour. It has long stout, creeping rhizomes that form small to largish colonies.

Distribution:

Found in the Northern part of North Island up to a height of 500m. See distribution map (bottom right).
